The first city outside Birmingham that has really embraced the bleed control kit is London and the City of London Police have been doing an amazing job of promoting bleed control kits in their venues.
The city of London Police also purchased 320 kits for distribution throughout the city at clubs, bars etc. and their actions will no doubt save lives. The kit ordered via this page will have the City of London Police Branding on it as shown.
The pack is lightweight, allowing it to be attached to personnel, hung up or kept within vehicles. The kit is in a high visibility red pack, allowing for rapid identification. It includes basic instructions for the lay person to have a straightforward understanding of the equipment included and where/how to apply.
The kits are purchased through Prometheus Medical Ltd. and ensures it conforms to the Critical Injury Pack requirements of British Standard BS8599:1:2019
For every pack sold a donation of £5 will be given to the Daniel Baird Foundation.
Instructions are already included in the kit and Prometheus are also in the process of developing some training videos on how to use the kit.
